Midfielder Luke Robertson has signed for Hampton & Richmond Borough, and is the 7th signing to be announced ahead of the 2025/26 season. Most recently Robertson was Captain for two successful seasons at Chertsey Town and also previously worked with Beavers Assistant Manager, Donovan Chislett at Met Police.
Alan had this to say on the new signing. “When we sat down and discussed what we missed last season and needed this time around, leadership was a gap we had to fill. Luke is a real leader, he absolutely hates to lose and demands everything from himself and his teammates, and I’m delighted to have brought him in. He’s really comfortable on the ball as well, and his physical attributes are just right for this division. He’s desperate for his chance at this level, and it’s one I’m sure he’s going to grasp with both hands.”
On signing for the Beavers, Robertson said “As soon as I spoke to Jules I knew this was a club and opportunity I couldn’t miss. I have also known Donavon for years and know what a great coach he is. Their style of play fits me perfectly and I cannot wait to be giving it a go at this level.
I hope as a group we can come together and achieve something special this year. There’s no doubt it’s a tough league but that’s why we’re here and that’s why we play football, to win. I’m absolutely buzzing to get going.”
