A Football Camp at the Heart of the Community

Hampton & Richmond Borough is proud to be a community football club.

Our Football camp is part of our ambition to build an even stronger connection between the football club, local children, families, schools and grassroots football.

Hampton & Richmond Borough Youth FC already has 38 teams and more than 450 young players, demonstrating the scale and importance of youth football within our community.

The Football camp provides another way for children to become involved with the club.

For some, it may be their first experience of organised football. Others may already play every weekend and want additional coaching during the school holidays.

Whatever their starting point, our aim is the same: to provide a safe, enjoyable and inspiring environment where children can develop at their own pace.

We want young players to feel that HRBFC and Beveree Stadium is somewhere they can enjoy being a part of throughout their entire footballing journey, whether on the pitch or in the stands.

Our holiday Football Camps bring young players into the heart of their local football club, giving them the opportunity to train, play and develop while making new friends.

The emphasis is not simply on producing better footballers. We want every child attending to leave having enjoyed their day, grown in confidence and having felt part of the club.

A Typical Day May Include:

- Player welcome and introduction
- Fun football warm-ups
- Ball mastery and individual skills
- Passing and receiving
- Dribbling and 1v1 activities
- Shooting and finishing
- Small-sided games
- Team challenges
- Football competitions
- Match play
- Goalkeeping opportunities
- Teamwork activities
- End-of-day challenges and recognition

Children develop at different speeds, and our Football Camp realises that.

The programme may vary according to the age, experience, and number of children attending and any player attending their first football camp will of course be able to enjoy the experience just as much as another who already trains several times a week!

Our experienced coaches encourage children to challenge themselves without creating unneccesary pressure, and our camps focus on the core skills young players need to enjoy and understand the game:

We believe football can help children develop skills that are valuable well beyond the pitch.

Throughout the Football Camp , coaches will encourage positive behaviours including:

What Your Child Should Bring

Parents will receive the relevant information when booking, but children should
generally arrive ready for an active day of football.

Players should bring suitable football clothing and footwear, drinks and any food required for the day.

All personal items should be clearly labelled.
Because football will continue in different weather conditions where appropriate and safe, we recommend checking the forecast before attending.

Please ensure that all relevant medical, allergy or additional support information is supplied during the booking process so that our team has the information needed to support your child appropriately.
