The club is delighted to announce the arrival of forward Daniel Nkrumah on loan until the end of the season from Worthing!
The 22-year-old East London native is a product of Leyton Orient's academy, making his senior debut in the EFL Trophy in a 1-0 win against Southampton U21s on September 14th 2021, signing a professional contract later that month at just seventeen.
In June 2023, he signed for Championship side Middlesborough, where he remained for two years, but was released at the end of the 24/25 season.
Despite his age Nkrumah already has a host of National League experience, initially going out on loan to Welling United when he was at Leyton Orient in 2023, and to Dagenham & Redbridge and FC Halifax Town last season.
His experience at the level prompted Wealdstone to secure his services ahead of this season. He made thirteen league appearances for the club, scoring the winner in a 1-0 victory over Braintree Town on the 8th of November.
In January he was scooped up by the high-flying Worthing, and he has made nine appearances for the Mackerel Men, struggling for starts ahead of the National League South's top scorer Brad Dolaghan, but eager to make an impact at this level.
Welcome, Daniel!
Nkrumah is expected to be in the squad tomorrow when we face Horsham.
