Lewis Allan is the Latest Through the Door

The club is pleased to announce the signing of Lewis Allan.

The 20-year-old joins the ranks after appearing in multiple preseason matches as a trialist.

Comfortable at the base of midfield or in defence, Allan came through the ranks at Charlton Athletic Gillingham, and Chatham Town, also playing for the Kent schools FA from U11 to U18.

He made his senior debut with the Chats at sixteen years old, but quickly moved to Hollands & Blair FC in March 2023, and after many short moves in the SCEFL Premier earned a move to St Albans City, where he made two appearances in cup competitions.

Last season Allan featured for Hythe Town and Hastings United before finishing the season with Tunbridge Wells.

Speaking to the club after his move was made official he said he's, “Buzzing to sign really, its been great to be around the lads during the preseason, the standards been really high and the sides coming together really well."

“I am most looking forward to playing my first home game in front of the fans, Dowse has spoke about all the improvements going on at the ground at the moment and I think it’s a really exciting time for the club but I think the most important thing is having a really good crack at the league and seeing how high we can finish this season.”

Much like with the arrival of Hayden Barrett earlier today, Head of Recruitment Tom Garcia was instrumental in Allan's arrival, and Alan Dowson echoed his sentiment earlier, stating "We have signed players with potential and look forward to them gaining some experience elsewhere initially and coming back stronger in the future."

Welcome to the club, Lewis!
