The club is delighted to announce the signing of 19-year-old midfielder Hayden Barrett.

Capable of playing in the 10 and slightly deeper in midfield, Barrett has been with the squad throughout preseason, providing an assist against Hanworth Villa and scoring the winner against Dunston UTS.

Barrett will be making his first steps in senior football with the Beavers after progressing through the age groups at Watfords academy who he joined in 2019.

After the ink dried, Barrett told the club, “I’m really happy to sign for this club and I’m excited for this new chapter in my career. I am looking forward to playing in front of the fans every week and helping the team as much as I can!”

His arrival was spearheaded by the Head of Recruitment Tom Garcia, and on his signing Dowse added, "Part of Tom's job is to get some young talent in the door, and he's brought [Hayden] to the table and we think we have signed players with real potential here."

"They'll be under our roof but we'll be loaning them out to maybe just a step down to get vital experience and come back in the future. He has done well in preseason and we're looking forward to his progression."
