Hampton & Richmond Borough’s 17th signing of the summer is left-back, Jude Mason. The defender had a loan spell at the Beavers in 2019 whilst he was at Sutton United. Since then he’s played at Merstham, Westfield, Kingstonian and last season made 34 appearances for Hayes & Yeading, where he scored 2 goals. 

Alan Julian said “He was highly recommended to us, so I met him earlier in the summer and from the word go, I knew it was going to be a good working relationship. He’s very comfortable on the ball, got a lovely left foot and has great technique which will all suit the way we play. If I had to compare him in style to a modern-day footballer, it would be Ben Chilwell. He’s got a lot of experience in men’s football and he’s another one making the step up, but I’m confident we can achieve all good things together.”

On signing for the Beavers, “I have many fond memories of my loan spell at the club a few years ago and when the opportunity came up to represent the club permanently, I was extremely excited. After gaining experience in men’s football over the years, I feel my game has developed at a good pace, which I feel will put me in good stead, heading into the new season. I can’t wait to work with Jules, Donovan, Luke and the rest of the staff and players at Hampton and Richmond Borough. I know what an amazing fan base the club has and the idea of being able to play in front of them is something very special. I am very much looking forward to the season ahead and will be ready to give my all.”
