Hampton & Richmond FC are delighted to announce the signing of Winger, Gianni Crichlow.
The 26-Year-Old Londoner arrives with nearly 4,000 minutes of experience playing in the National League South, having played at Havant & Waterlooville, Dulwich Hamlet and Hemel Hempstead after a fine break-out season in 2021-22 at Braintree.
The former QPR Academy player has also spent time at the likes of Chelmsford, Hendon, Harrow and Hanwell before winning four individual awards in his first stint with the Irons, including Player of the Season.
After his most recent return to Braintree, which saw him notch up 12 appearances, the pacey is looking to add some real flair to the Hampton & Richmond attack.
Gianni told us, "I'm explosive going forward and I always want to make life tricky for my opponent, whether that's winning 1v1's or making space for my team-mates." He continued, "I'm excited to be here with the winning, warrior mentality that Alan has. I'm certainly up for the fight this season and I think that's the kind of players he's looking for throughout the squad."
When asked on his ambition, Gianni said, "I think you're doing it wrong if you're not dreaming of the play-offs at this stage. It's a long season and we need to be ready for a tough, tough league. But I hope we can prove to be a tough opposition for anyone coming up against us too."
His new boss, First-Team Manager Alan Julian, told us "Gianni is another player who, as well as being very easy on the eye and exciting to watch, is going to battle for every ball. It's all well and good having physical defenders, but you're entire team from top to bottom needs to be up for the level of physicality and desire that you find in this league."
Crichlow joins Josh Williams and Alex Wall in Alan Julian's confirmed attackers so far.
Welcome to the Bev, Gianni!
