Fixture Focus: Enfield Town (H) 25/4

At 12:30pm on Saturday April 25th, Hampton & Richmond Borough will grace the grass of the Bev for the final time this season as we take on 23rd-placed Enfield Town.

After mathematically securing safety last home match against Chippenham Town and effectively securing in with a trio of great wins against Dover Athletic, Horsham, and Farnborough respectively, the Beavers have the chance to finish the season on a high by stretching this home unbeaten run to five matches.

Saturday’s visitors Enfield have already confirmed their relegation from the National League South, but with nothing but pride to play for they produced one of their best wins of the season last weekend, beating Slough Town 5-2 at home, scoring their whole handful in the second half, with three coming in the 90th minute or later.

Enfield manager Gavin Macpherson will roam the touchline for the Towners for the final time this weekend as he resigned from his position on the 14th of April.

Macpherson joined the club in May 2023 and secured the club’s first ever promotion to Step Two after beating Chatham Town in the playoffs. He then managed to keep the side up last season on the final day but could not do the same this time around.

We last faced Enfield at the beginning of March where Nana Boateng scored in a 1-1 draw, with centre-back Henry Hawkins netting for the Towners.

Their main man continues to be Sam Youngs in centre midfield, who has fourteen league goals this season, and in his seventh season with the club he has featured in nearly 300 matches.

Another player to watch is young left-back Nino Adam-Malaki who has made 42 appearances this season, with five goal contributions.

As we approach the end of the season it is worth noting some of our own squad’s statistics.

Here are the Top 5 appearance makers:

Sam Deadfield – 47

Harry Gardner - 45

Craig Fasanmade – 42

Alan Massey – 39

Ronan Silva - 37

Our Top Three Goalscorers:

Reece Grego-Cox – 10

Craig Fasanmade - 9

Ronan Silva – 6

When Enfield last traveled to the Bev the Beavers emerged 4-0 victors, so let’s hope for more of the same for our 2025/26 season finale!

The sun is going to be shining, pints are a fiver, and the Beavers are playing, what more could you ask for?!

Come down to the Bev for the final time until July and grab your tickets HERE!

Up the Beavers!
