Portsmouth-born Alfy signed from the Beavers in June 2022, after three seasons with Aldershot Town. Whittingham started his career at local side Havant & Waterlooville, but it wasn't until a move to Ian Herring's Hungerford Town that he made his first senior appearances. A breakout 2018/19 campaign earned Whittingham a move to the Shots, where he made 48 appearances in the next two COVID disrupted seasons. 29 appearances with three goals followed in 2021/22, along with a short loan to Havant & Waterlooville.
