A Ben Seymour double, secured the victory for Hampton & Richmond against Weston Super Mare!
Eight minutes in Hampton & Richmond took the lead through a first time volley from Ben Seymour. He almost made it two for the Beavers, as he managed to find space and get a shot away. However, the shot was straight at Max Harris.
Just before the twentieth minute Robbie Wilmott’s cross found Rex Mannings who fired the ball past Desbois to get the equaliser.
It wasn’t long until Hampton & Richmond regained their advantage, as George Hunt split the defence brilliantly to find Gray. Jake Gray then unselfishly passed the ball across to Seymour to get his second of the match. Late on in the half, Jacob Cane drilled a shot at the Hampton & Richmond goal, which bounced back off the post and away from danger.
Into the second half the match went as Weston Super Mare worked a chance well, with Bastin finding Reuben Reid but his shot was well away from the goal. A dangerous freekick came for the away team, with Willmott’s attempt just going over the bar. Weston Super Mare tried but could not find the equaliser.
This result means that Hampton & Richmond are now fifteen games unbeaten in all competitions. Weston Super Mare have now dropped to fifteenth, due to the defeat.
