Hampton & Richmond FC are delighted to announce the signing of James Roberts.

James joins the Beavers having spent the last three seasons at Havant & Waterlooville, where he notched up an impressive 26 league goals for the Hawks.

The 27-year-old is no stranger to Beveree, having spent time on loan in TW12 back In the 2021/22 season. In just five appearances, the Attacker got himself off the mark to score two goals in his short stint, including a delicious free-kick at the Bev in a 2-1 win against Welling United.

Roberts has notched up 65 goals in 268 senior appearances across League Two (Three goals), the National League (Four goals), the National League North (16 goals) and the National League South (39 goals).

Speaking to the new attacker after agreeing to join Hampton & Richmond, he told us that "Hampton & Richmond is a club I really like. I'm really delighted to be here and I can't wait to get started. I was very excited to get the call from Alan and to hear the kind of team he is building. I pride myself on being hard-working and giving everything, and that's a similar trait with all of the players in the squad so far."
