HRBFC Youngster Earns International Call Up!

The club is delighted to announce that a member of the HRBFC Isthmian Youth League U18 Squad, Timo Salaghishvili, 18, has been called up to the Georgian Under-19 National Team for their March training camp and friendlies against Kazakhstan Under-19 National Team.

West London native Salaghishvili was born to Georgian parents in 2008 and has been playing football since the age of four.

As a young child he had a trial at Arsenal before spending time at Fulham, Reading, Bracknell Town, and Uxbridge before arriving at HRBFC.

Salaghishvili made his debut for the first team earlier in the season, featuring in our Middlesex Senior Cup clash against Rayner’s Lane on October 14th, 2025.

Speaking to the club about his achievement, the youngster wrote,

Hampton & Richmond Borough FC has played a major role in my recent progression. The club has provided me with an excellent platform to develop both on and off the pitch, by earning the opportunity of making my first team debut at 17 and training with the men’s team. The experience has been invaluable, allowing me to learn from senior players, gain wisdom, and understand the demands of the game at a higher level. This exposure has helped mature my mindset at a young age.”

It is his first international call-up, and he described what the feeling was like to receive the news,

“It was a very proud moment for both me and my family to be selected to represent the Georgia U19 national team. It is a great honour to represent my country of origin at international level!”

“Growing up, once I realised that football was what I wanted to pursue for the rest of my life, I always had the full support of my family. I am a strong believer in hard work, and I promised myself and my family one day I would represent my country of origin. To be able to fulfil that promise now is a special moment and would like to give all Glory to God.”

Everyone at the club wishes to congratulate Timo on this achievement and wish him well for the friendly in March as well as the whole Under-18 squad for the rest of the campaign!
