On Saturday April 11th Hampton & Richmond Borough return to Beveree Stadium for the penultimate time this season as we face 21st-placed Chippenham Town with the fight for survival intensifying further.
Chippenham Town sit on 41 points, 8 points behind our own tally as we sit in 18th. The Bluebirds are the only club currently in the relegation zone who can escape the drop, with Enfield Town, Bath City, and Eastbourne Borough all condemned to Step 3 for next season.
Last time out Chippenham picked up a crucial win at home to AFC Totton, winning 2-0.
The Bluebirds have been in somewhat decent form in recent weeks, winning five of eight since the last day of February including an impressive 1-0 victory over Maidenhead United at home.
However, their early season form was particularly dire, winning just three matches in 2025. They have particularly struggled away from home, winning just one match on their travels and drawing three times, losing the remaining seventeen and picking up just six points of their 41 on the road.
Their solitary away win came on the 14th of March away to Dover and even then, it took a 93rd minute winner to nab all three points on the South Coast.
In front of goal the Bluebirds have struggled, scoring the third fewest goals in the league.
Their top scorer Harry Parsons has nine league goals in 27 league appearances, last bagging against Hemel Hempstead on March 10th and the next highest scorer is centre-mid Caine Bradbury with six.
We last faced Chippenham in September, drawing 1-1 with both sides scoring penalties.
Last season Chippenham won 2-1 at the Bev in February, which was only their second win over the Beavers since 2019.
The Beavers can guarantee safety with a positive result this Saturday, all the hard work of the long and grueling season comes down to this.
Be at the Bev to support the boys and help them take care of business, and secure National League South football at the Bev for the eleventh season in a row.
