Aldershot-stopper joins on loan!
The Club is excited to announce the arrival of 24-year-old goalkeeper Marcus Dewhurst from Aldershot Town on a loan until the end of the season.
The Hull native came through the ranks at Sheffield United and has bags of experience in non-league football despite his age.
He initially went out on loan in 2018 to then-National League North side Guisley AFC, making 41 league appearances in two seasons for the side as a teenager.
His next significant loan was to National League side Scunthorpe United in the 22/23 season, which earned him a permanent move from the Blades to Wealdstone ahead of the 2023/24 National League season.
After 27 league appearances he made the move to Aldershot in the 24/25 season where he made 45 appearances in all competitions for the Shots.
Most recently he has made 20 appearances this season, keeping four clean sheets.
He represented England from U17 to U20 and was described by as a “modern goalkeeper” both by his former manager Tommy Widdrington as well as himself!
Welcome to the Bev, Marcus!
