ALAN JULIAN DEPARTS HRBFC

ALAN JULIAN DEPARTS HRBFC

Following recent discussions between the two parties, the club can confirm the departure of manager Alan Julian by mutual consent.

Alan joined the club as a player in 2020, and from the moment he walked through the door, he has conducted himself with a deep-rooted passion, commitment and affection for the club in various roles. After over 80 appearances, including the 700th competitive fixture of his career, Jules retired from his playing career, aged 41, and moved onto the Beavers coaching staff before becoming manager of the Beavers in May 2024.

Speaking on his departure, Alan Julian said, “Having spent nearly six years at the club as a player and now a manager, it’s with great sadness that the time has come to part ways. I will be forever proud of the achievements we as staff made at the club. It’s a real David and Goliath story. Staying up in the division last season is honestly the biggest achievement of my football career, as a player or manager; it is something I’ll forever be proud of. Beating Dorking 3-0 away, and Torquay 1-0 away, are the two real standout days that I will remember fondly. Thanks to everyone for the love and support, and I’ll be back at the Bev as a supporter in the not too distant future. All the very best to absolutely everyone at the club.”

Chairman Ben Hudson added, “I remember watching Alan play for Bromley and against us with Billericay. He always stood out as a leader with an infectious demeanour, a Club favourite across players, staff and supporters. When his playing career ended and the management opportunity arose, I could think of no one better to bring together a new group of players and quickly build harmony. Alan will always be remembered as the manager who kept us up in the 2024-2025 season when resources were limited. He should be proud, as I am, of what he achieved last season. I will always be personally thankful for what he has done both on and off the pitch for our club”.

Everyone at the Club would like to place on record our huge thanks to Alan for his considerable efforts throughout his time at Hampton & Richmond Borough, and an understanding for coming to this mutually agreed decision. Jules, his wife Jo and his boys Alfie and Teddy are always welcome at Beveree Stadium.
