A Summer Update From the Owners

A Summer Update From the Owners

Dear HRBFC Supporters,

It has only been a month since the end of the season, but rest assured, there has been much happening behind the scenes both on and off Beveree Stadium’s pitch. We’ve all been busy working on next season with an eye on steady improvement for future seasons as well.

Of course, our priority project for the 2026-2027 season is developing a competitive squad. Encouraging progress has been made and we look forward to informing Beavers’ supporters about returning familiar faces as well as new talent over the following weeks.

Much of our staff and owners’ efforts are also focussed on continuing on our core mission to make Hampton & Richmond the highest quality community club in the National League South.

As a reminder, during the summer of 2025, we improved Beveree Stadium by replacing the vintage 1967 floodlights and electrics, installing professional league calibre sprinkler and irrigation systems on the main pitch, and enhancing supporters matchday entertainment with digital scoreboard technology. We hope that these investments and the introduction of many new and exciting matchday promotions made the Bev feel like a welcoming and exciting place to be on matchdays and evenings. I think we can all agree about the positive atmosphere during last five home games, a period when attendances averaging over 1,000 supporters witnessed the Beavers achieve a home five-match unbeaten streak and confirmation of an eleventh consecutive season of National League South football.

As for the summer of 2026, I’m delighted to reveal further investments that are consistent with our community club ethos. The current changes will transition Beveree Stadium from a matchday venue to a campus that is available to a co-educational academy, local youth teams, local schools and community groups

Central to our plans is a durable playing surface capable of serving community-based users of Beveree facilities. The primary undertaking is the replacement of the natural grass “main pitch” with a safe, aesthetically pleasing and durable synthetic surface. Project plans include moving top soil and sprinkler systems from the main pitch to the top field where we will recreate our natural grass playing surface and a proper 9v9 field primarily for youth groups.

It has been a somewhat complicated and careful process to get us to the ground-breaking stage of development. We would like to thank the London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames Council for their partnership in making this happen. Further updates will follow over the coming weeks on progress at Beveree Stadium, the playing squad and other developments.

My fellow owners and I take our custodianship of this football club extremely seriously. We are grateful for your past and continued support of your Hampton & Richmond Borough Football Club.

Up the Beavers!

Scott Forbes, Chairman of the Board of Investors.
