23-year-old defender Vaz joined the Beavers in January 2026 on loan from Sutton United until the end of the season. He the South London side in June 2024 from Aveley. He was born in Guinea-Bissau, and started his career with Chelmsford City, making 50 appearances for the Clarets. His performances earned him a move to League One Barnsley’s academy in January 2023.After less than a year he returned to the National League South with Aveley in August 2023 and played 44 times in all competitions as a 20-year-old, scoring five goals and even providing an assist in the play-off eliminator round against Maidstone United. So far this season he has featured seven times for the Us, providing an assist against Gateshead.
