Aaron Lacey is the second central defender joining the Beavers on an initial one-month loan after Dowson's return. Lacey has joined on loan from Oxford United. He signed his first professional contract with United this summer and travelled with the first team on their pre-season tour to Indonesia. He also spent time at Step Four Stratford Town on loan last season. Dowson added, “He’s someone I’ve been keeping an eye on for a while. He came into Aldershot and I think he might have been on his way to a club up North, but we stopped that. He’s another centre-half who can play right back aswell.”
